Limited Edition Nanoblocks

You might have noticed that there are some special nanoblock models put on sale on Ebay or other selling platforms but not featured here in my blog. Some of these nanoblock models are actually special editions that are not available to normal toy vendors. These models are only sold at certain places. If you happen to see Disney character series, they are actually available at Toyko Disneyland. I got myself some of these too when i was at Tokyo Disneyland. I am not sure if Disney outlet will have these but i am quite sure normal toy vendors usually do not have these. I have seen some special train series and many others. I cannot tell you if they are truly authentic Kawada nanoblock. If you really like them and price is reasonable to you, you can buy them. But to me, these limited editions are not cheap.

Just some add-ons to the limited editions model. I have 2 Disney nanoblock models. I just completed Little Green man. I want to highlight a few things for you if you have intention to buy one of those Disney ones or other limited edition ones.

First thing is the design guide. Unlike the usual Kawada model, the Disney guide comes in non-colour and in Japanese. For people like me who cannot read Japanese, It is a pain trying to guess the color of the brick on that guide. Here is a sample of how it is like. I am not sure if other limited edition ones are like this. But Disney's ones are like that. I need to match the position of the brick with the cover design. Luckily the cover is in color! But if you are unlucky, for those hidden bricks, you probably cannot use this method to guess. Like i said, i have no idea how the other limited edition models are like. Probably you want to check with your seller  first. Otherwise it will be a pity if you cannot build the model correctly.

Next, these limited edition are also not expensive without a reason. So one of the reason is the amount of spare piece they pack in. After i have finished my little green man i am shocked to see that i am still left with so much spare.. These spare are also part of the reason why you are paying more too.. I rather they pack in less of these and charge it cheaper! Another thing about this little green man.. The design of the head is solid! I mean the head is not hollow. It will take more bricks to build this solid head and hence cost more!
