Once you have completed a puzzle, the next step is to get it framed. You can choose to send it to the frame-makers to get it professionally done at a higher cost, or DIY with the ready-made frames that you can purchase from Puzzleworld. The dimension of puzzles are not standard. Different 1000 pieces puzzles may have different length and width. Before you purchase a ready-made frame, make sure the dimension of the frame matches with your puzzle.
If you google "frame puzzle" you will get a whole list of website that teaches you how to get it done. Some instruction videos can also be found on Youtube. Different people adopts different methods.
Here is a video of how i do it. If you have better method or tips, do share with me. =)
The basic idea is to ...
1. Lay something below your puzzle. Using wax paper is a good choice.
2. Apply the decoupage glue given on top of your puzzle and wait for it to dry
3. Glue the puzzle to the cardboard of the ready-made frame and wait for it to dry
4. Lay the plastic cover on top of the puzzle and then frame it up.
I have some additional tips ...
# Wipe the puzzle with "Magic Clean Tissue" to remove any dust specks on the puzzle.
# After you have applied the glue on top of the puzzle, double check if any hair lying on top. Quickly remove it if possible.
# Squeeze the puzzle to close up the gaps in between the pieces after you have applied the glue. This to make sure there are no ugly gaps and each pieces are stick properly
# If you intend to reuse the frame, you can use blue-tack to stick the puzzle to the cardboard instead
# Wipe the plastic cover using "Magic Clean Tissue", to prevent dust specks or hair to be seen on the plastic cover when you frame.
